In 1983 the tradition of a yearmix was started with the grandmix 1983 by Ben Liebrand. In the following years many (mix)Dj's created a mostly one hour mix including the most popular songs of that year. Due to the diversity of musicgenres the yearmixes could be disco, dance, trance, RnB, hardcore, hardstyle, jumpstyle, etc, but always with records from that year. All records are ordered on the BPM (beats per minute) and clued together on the sound of the music (#C, #G, #F, etc). The tradition of creating a yearmix is almost pure dutch. In the early years there were only dutch DJ's who created a yearmix; later also DJ's from Belgium, Germany and France; in the last years there were also DJ's from the rest of the world. Some nice places to be for yearmixes:
I collected the yearmixes by shopping, internet, usenet, private membership and persons sending me a mail. The yearmix can be grabbed if there is (DL) behind the title. A link, cue, cover and/or a tracklist (if created) can be found "behind" the title of the yearmix. If you know a yearmix and it isn't in my list or you've got one I don't have, please send a mail |
